OC Reference - Iceglare (2017)

Some of you guys may remember this gal from a while back. She used to be part of a roleplay group, but the group shut down recently, so I changed her into a normal OC. Also tweaked her design just a bit and fixed up her backstory.

Personality:
A natural leader, makes sure she hears out every opinion before she makes decisions. She's very aloof and often jokes around to lighten the mood when things get too serious. Very optimistic as well. But at the same time, she's a worrier, and is always paranoid whether she made the right choice or not. This makes her overly cautious and can sometimes be overbearing to others whenever she has one of her freak-out sessions. And privately, she harbours a lot of self doubt.

Book description: Iceglare is a small, tabby she-cat with a banded tail and white underbelly, paws and tail-tip, medium-length fur and frosty eyes and tears on her left ear. Has a lithe frame and well muscled. 

Bio:
Iceglare was originally born a rogue named Ice. Her mother, Russet, belonged to a traveling group that never really stayed in one spot. Her father, Black Stripes, was not part of said group, and after having a short romance affair with Russet, he moved on, and never knew he had sired kits. After Ice and her littermates were born prematurely, Russet's health began to decline, and she eventually succumbed to illness. Ice, Storm and Rain always remained scrawny because of their premature birth. One day, Rain and Storm left on a hunting patrol, but never returned. They were never heard from again. Because Ice no longer had any real ties to the group and didn't feel like she fit in anymore, she simply left. 

Ice ended up wandering for quite some time before she stumbled across the Clans. She was weak and hungry, and in desperate need of some sanctuary. ThunderClan took her in, and here she met Goldenshine. Ice only intended to stay for a little while before moving off again, but she grew quite attached to the Clan and the way they lived, so she stayed and was officially apprenticed and named Icepaw. Eventually, she earned her warrior name, Iceglare.

Iceglare did eventually receive an apprentice to train of her own, Rosepaw. They became very close, and had a tight mentor-student relationship that lasted even after Rosepaw named a warrior (Rosefur). It became an object of amusement when Rosefur grew to be kind of significantly taller than Iceglare, even though the latter was quite a bit more senior.

Now, Iceglare and Goldenshine grew to be very close friends, almost like sisters. Even when Goldenshine suddenly changed and became very withdrawn and snappy, Iceglare remained loyal to her. They once ventured out of the Clan border and wandered along the outskirts of a twolegplace. The twolegs that lived there happened to own a pet macaw, and Iceglare found a feather that had been shed. She kept it as a memento of their little adventure.

When the Clan leader, Graystar, was mysteriously killed, it came as a shock to Iceglare when Goldenshine revealed to her that she had witnessed Blackheart, the Clan deputy, was the one who killed Graystar. Goldenshine challenged Blackheart, and killed the deputy, before she decided to leave the Clan to become a loner. At first Iceglare couldn't understand why the cat she had come to consider a sister could just abandon the Clan, abandon Iceglare, just like that, but she grew to accept the decision. She still regularly meets with her best friend at the border.

The Clan, however, was thrown into a state of anarchy and confusion as they were left leaderless. Two nights after the deaths of both Graystar and Blackheart, the medicine cat (Brambleheart) had a vision, in which the path up to Highledge was covered in a sheen of ice with the sun reflecting off of it, creating a glare. Iceglare was to be the new leader of ThunderClan. Although Iceglare was a natural leader, she always feels unworthy of her new position.
